FORMERLY HEALTH CARE PROVIDER (HCP) CPR

This course is designed for people who work (or will be working) in the health care field such as dentists, dental hygienists, nurses, doctors, paramedics, first responders, etc.

This course covers the course content for CPR “C” & AED using the protocols and equipment that are specific to health care providers.

THIS COURSE COVERS:

  • How to manage an emergency situation

  • How to perform assess an injured person

  • Importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on in hospital survival rates in an emergency

  • How and when to start CPR

    • Adult, child and infant CPR procedures

    • Adult, child and infant choking procedures

    • Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performing as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR

  • How to use an Automated External Defibrillation (AED)

  • Current ILCOR and AHA guidelines

  • How to use multiple barrier devices to provide effective ventilation's

  • Learn how to recognize and treat someone suffering from a heart attack, angina, and stroke

Duration: 4 hours – half day
Certification: Valid for 1 year
