As part of our Healthy Living promotion, Pulse First Aid is pleased to sponsor Dodgeball Ottawa’s Dodgeball Tournament on February 8th 2014.
Dodgeball is no longer a child’s activity, it is one of the latest fitness trends that has been increasing in popularity each year. Dodgeball is a fast paced sport that gives you a full body workout. From jumping, dodging, throwing, catching, and sprinting this sport works a variety of muscle groups. With this in mind dodgeball can also be hard on the body (especially the shoulder and elbow) which is why it it vital to warm-up, stretch and have appropriate gear. This includes sportswear, arm braces/support and of course a fully stocked first aid kit. Pulse First Aid will be proving essential kits to each team with commonly needed items such as medical tape, bandaids, and a tensor bandage.
Dodgeball Ottawa is having Ottawa’s first 6 ball format dodgeball tournament. We will be playing with 6 balls on the court (2 × 8.25” balls and 4 × 7” balls). There will be a minimum cash prize of $500 for the 1st place team plus prizes for 2nd and 3rd place! The tournament will have referees, music, and of course lots of dodgeball!
